First Annual Women's Heart Day in Saint-Brieuc

On June 2, 2026, the Baie d’Armor Regional Professional Health Community (CPTS) Baie d’Armor, in partnership with the Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes Foundation and with the support of its member healthcare professionals, organized the first edition of Women’s Heart Day at the Trégueux Saint-Brieuc Health Center.
This event enabled 45 women from the region to receive, free of charge, a prevention and screening program addressing two major health issues: cardiovascular and gynecological diseases in women.

A Comprehensive Prevention Program
Beyond cardiovascular and gynecological screenings, this initiative was based on a holistic approach to health. Each participant received a final assessment conducted by a local general practitioner. A consultation with a psychologist was also offered.



A Collective Effort in the Service of Prevention
The success of this first edition was due to the commitment of 14 healthcare professionals from the Trégueux Saint-Brieuc Health Center and the Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes Foundation, who came together around a common goal: to promote prevention and access to care.
The Côtes d’Armor Health Insurance Office was also present to assist participants with administrative procedures and updating their coverage.
At the same time, a Health Village, open to the general public, brought together several local prevention organizations to address a wide range of topics: vaccination, cancer screening, tobacco, environmental health, nutrition, physical activity, stress and sleep management, self-examination workshops, and support for victims of violence.

The Baie d’Armor CPTS extends its sincere thanks to all the healthcare professionals who participated, the Trégueux Saint-Brieuc Health Center for providing its facilities and staff, and the Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes Foundation for its support in organizing this first edition.
Our thanks also go to the Côtes-d’Armor Health Insurance Fund, the MSA, Emmaüs, Restos du Cœur, the La Ruche Social Center, and the Itinérance association, which referred participants to us, as well as to the organizations present at the Health Village: the Regional Cancer Screening Coordination Center (CRCDC) of Brittany, La Maison Sport Santé, the Maison des Femmes, and all the professionals involved.
Finally, we would like to thank the elected officials who attended the event, notably Ms. Le Meur, mayor of Trégueux; her deputy for health, Ms. LeGall; and Ms. Le Du, deputy for early childhood affairs for the City of Saint-Brieuc, for their support and interest in this initiative.
This inaugural event helped raise participants’ awareness of the importance of prevention while strengthening cooperation among local healthcare providers regarding women’s health.
